Strawberry Chiffon Cake
Eat Cake Cafe has a great direction with their pastries. Not overly sweet, super light, airy, and perfectly moist. I even perfered their cakes over their mousses, which is a long stretch for myself. I can never get enough of how the flavors are simple but not over the top. A well done accomplishment I might add.
Soboro and Red Bean Bun
I decided to indulge a little more than I expected having the strawberry mousse, green matcha tea chiffon cake, soboro, and the red bean bun pastry.
The strawberry mousse, was completely difficult for me to stop eating. Cutting softly through the chocolate shell the light flavors of the strawberry mousse hit my palette and became delighted as I always like to be after having any creamy dessert. Then halfway into eating the mousse I decided to have some of the green matcha tea chiffon cake as well, which was the biggest mistake. I thought that the mousse was fantastic, but from this green matcha tea chiffon cake I finally began to understand what a slice of heaven truly was. I'm not even a big fan of green tea but it came to life for me. Not too overly pungent, but just perfectly muted to taste simple, powerful, and just right. The frosting just ever so light and not super sugary at all which complimented the cake so well and overall, a perfectly moist cake.
Perfect quaint afternoon/evening spot
I have great appreciation for Eat Cake Cafe as well due to the fact their mousses and cakes are all GLUTEN FREE. I find it amazing how well it tastes, having had tried substitutes for gluten foods. My cousin is a gluten free eater and it often tolls on what she can and cannot have. Having my first experience at a Korean bakery leaves me with extremely high expectations for any other places I now will try in the future. I know Ill become a regular here and probably try to come here at least twice in a month. The pastries are great to take home to eat in the morning or a late night snack before hitting the sack. I certainly see the pounds slowly adding on just anticipating my next visit to this cafe. I rate this place 5 out of 5 which is probably a first for me, but yet it is well deserved. Great friendly attentive staff, spectacular flavors, and welcoming store where I can stop by to enjoy my afternoon. I have always been a pie > cake person, but Eat Cake Cafe has me welcoming to the other side with open arms and of course my empty stomach.
Being Gluten Free, it's a challenge to find a great shop. I am looking forward to speaking with you as I have a bunch of questions to ask you. It appears that this is a strictly Gluten Free made of the premises company. Is that correct? Do you use milk and corn products in your goodies? Do you have gluten free, milk free, corn free yummies? Would it be possible to state (on your site) the ingredients for those of us with multiple allergies to know what to buy? Do you ship? Well, that's most of the questions. thank you for having a great bakery.
ReplyDelete@Olinda Paul I am sorry for the late response. Yes all cakes and mousses from this bakery are gluten free, but the pastries, bread, and buns are not. All the ingredients in each dessert can be found from this link: http://eatcakecafe.com/products.php I do not have the information whether this place can ship or not because I am just a customer who fell in love with this place but you can contact Eat Cake Cafe at this number: (909)468-2253. Thanks for reading!
